The Man

Ra’Mone Marquis is a native of the State of Florida. A Piscean, he was born on March 8, 1984. He is a graduate of Palm Bay High School. He received his Bachelors degree from Florida International University in Criminal Justice with a Public Administration Minor. While there, he became a proud 2005 initiate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He went on to receive his Masters degree from the University of Phoenix in Administration of Justice and Security. Mr. Marquis currently lives in Miami, Florida which is a place he thoroughly calls his 2nd home. Life experiences and literary idols such as Omar Tyree, Terry McMillan, and Eric Jerome Dickey; have shaped Ra’Mone into the author that he is today. This is what formed the foundation of him being considered an unique and relatable author. Due to a desire to provide people with an uncensored, entertaining, and informative place to learn and express one’s self regarding everything sexuality; Ra’Mone created the brand The Quis Box. It includes everything from a blog, discussion topics, videos, drink recipes, and more. Courtesy of Kace Books, LLC., Ra’Mone’s own company, Ra’Mone’s first released novel was the 5 star reviewed novel entitled District 69: The Crimson Edition. His second and third novel, District 69: The Color Haven and District 69: The Greek Chronicles is its unpredictable follow-ups.

 


 

The Philanthropist

His endeavors did not stop there. Ra’Mone saw a need for positive mentorship and youth mentoring for the urban youth within his town of Brevard County, located in Central Florida. This led to him becoming the Founder and President of True T.A.L.E.N.T.S. Foundation, Inc.; a 501c3 nonprofit that he started in 2011. It predominantly services urban youth ages 12-18, in the Central and South Florida areas. Their focal point is: to provide minority youth with an outlet and a muse; along with enhancing their sense of direction and a strong support network, which will aid them in achieving a future that is sufficient to their full potential and needs. Mr. Marquis’ philanthropic work has not gone unnoticed as he has been written about in various news publications and has received the following awards:

  • 2011-2012 Stanford’s Who’s Who Honor Member Award – for demonstrating outstanding leadership and achievement in one’s Occupation, Industry, and Profession
  • 2012 Child Abuse Prevention Task Force of Brevard County – Award for Outstanding Civic Group/Individual

With talents including music and dramatic arts; Ra’Mone finds joy in writing, cooking, entertainment, exercising, eating, and traveling…just to name a few.
